Unrequited.

Take me through plains of overgrown thickets and consume me in the center of nowhere,

Saturate me with no passion.

Cycle me down treelined paths in the dim light of dusk and call to me in the dawn sounding alarm bells in my mind with your silence,

I hear you.

I search for you everywhere but nowhere, you’re the face of strangers, Your eyes look mockingly,

Only you can see.

In the cusp of empty space, my aching heart, daily breaking over silent giggles.

Make your move and I’ll make mine, I see what you’re doing, yet have no clue, I lose even when I win.

Caress me with your voice, I listen, breathless, unable to speak.

I’ll take what you can’t give and give you all of me,

I am yours, forever and never.
